this resume, happily: the opposite of real resume's dauntlessly cheerful self-promotion
I’ve been churning out many, many resumes IRL because I am really, really sick of my Coffee Shop AU life and am ready to ditch whatever-bucks. here is the fandom resume I wrote for myself when I got bored.*

Dodged a lot of wank by running an LJ mostly focused on my mood disorder during my high school years, allowing only (1) disbelief at mid-2000s, pre-DH shipwars and (2) unbelievable psychosexual obsession with Sirius Black to slip through. Wept for a day and a half after OotP was published. Any photos of me from age 14-21 where I can identify myself as actually happy are of me hanging out in costume with my friends.

Fought through megadepression and hospitalization by transposing my mania onto Ten and Simm!Master and then, because I am giving and circumspect, projecting outwards onto any other Doctor/Master pair you can think of with the lads over at b_e. Ran some watchparties. Cried in a lot of LJ comment sections, Disposablechats. Made friends with non-US English speakers in order to have friends in all conceivable timezones to talk about Delgado!Master any time of the day or night.

Journey to the center of the self: zero to sixty on understanding Queer Supervillainy, Feb. 2012. Attended many, many seminars/private chats about neurodivergence and its portrayal in Supergenius Media. Got involved with a few very good AUs which integrated all of the above readings; made a couple of improbably good friends. Cannot tell you what happened in s3&4.

Gifsets of Sam in s7 finally convinced me to give Show a second chance; ground rules were ‘this writing is garbage but you’re going to like a lot of tropes against your will,’ thus pre-removing self from being able to socialize like a normal fan from day one. #catholicismwow! blog series, Easter 2013. Overinvested in sourcetext as an extremely un-self-aware portrayal of mental illness and abusive family cycles and/or as a medieval morality play; will occasionally tell tumblr about it. May actually write fix-it fic after sitting on ideas for it for six or seven years?
Additional skills:
- LJ power-user
- Tumblr power-user, skilled at using 3rd-party tools to block out both obnoxious coding and fannish content I disagree with
- OTW donor and occasional on-blog advocate
- Even though I am riddled with weird personal issues about having feelings in public I have been able to talk to dozens of people about lovehating these source texts for twenty years and that’s TREMENDOUSLY important to me as a social being
